Coorg, also known as Kodagu is on the eastern slopes of the Western Ghats. Occupying an area of 4,102 kilometres of land, this administrative district of Karnataka state is one of the most beautiful hill stations in southern India. The topography of Coorg ornamented with grassy downs, paddy fields, sloping glades, waterfalls and deep ravines spreads over more than 1,590 square miles of beautiful terrain.
